ARTIST'S STATEMENT, Part II

In recent years, most of my time has been devoted to my writings and curating exhibitions. However, I did begin the preliminary work for my "Cubit" series of 12 realistic works depicting common objects in a 12"x12" format using three different media.

So, why work in a series? Because it forces the artist to focus on a specified set of parameters while allowing room for the artist's growth within those restrictions. And there is always the freedom for the artist to begin another series!

Working in a series also gives consistency to a body of work to which the viewer can learn to relate. That's the funny thing about the visual arts: you have to see it!
