AKAS II is a multi-service art business dedicated to helping visual
artists in their business of being artists! AKAS II originated in 1984
as Ana's Kitchen Art Services,
an art brokerage and educational facility in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
In 1987, AKAS II relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona but returned to
Arkansas with its processing center near Hot Springs National Park in
1999.
AKAS II's Quick-Fix AnswerGram Program allows visual artists and arts groups to get direct answers to their specific tax questions. With the special AnswerGram order form, they can request a written answer via fax, e-mail, or snail mail. Telephone consultations are also available by appointment and require valid credit card authorization or advance payment by check.
Since December of 1994, AKAS II has published the
Do-It-Yourself Quick-Fix
TaxKits, a series of tax and business guides especially
designed for self-employed painters, sculptors, and other visual
artists. These publications are written in plain "art-talk"
by an artist who has a doctorate in tax law plus thirty-six years of
experience in the business of art. These concise, easy-to-use
TaxKits are revised every income tax season and may be
used with or without a computer.
